Announcement:

Uncommon James was bred and raced by the Lavin Family. The journey that he has taken us on has far exceeded any expectation we could have imagined.

Winning the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate in Melbourne as a 4yo and being crowed QLD horse of the year were highlights in a wonderful career.

Being triumphant in the Group 2 Moreton Cup at his last start was a fitting end for the QLD bred horse.

We would like to thank all the people that helped him throughout his career and can celebrate his achievements. Racing in the Lavin’s butcher stripe colours he will be forever remembered as the family’s as well as Matt and Steve’s first Group 1 winner.

Uncommon James will live his days in retirement at Lavin Park where the journey started.
